This past weekend I had the opportunity to help a friend shoot a wedding (blog post coming soon!) – and we had such a great time shooting, chatting and just enjoying the day. I showed up that morning expecting the obvious – bride, groom, church, reception. Our day began at Jeffre Scott Apothecary on Providence Rd. We arrived there to get pictures of the bride during the traditional morning make up routine. One step into the store, and it was sensory overload. The merchandising was spectacular, the decor – impeccable, and the scenery – mesmerizing, especially for a photographer with a new 50mm f/1.4 lens. I couldn’t stop looking at the angles and playing with the depth of field and mirror reflections. Of course, the bride arrived, and my focus shifted, but for a few fleeting minutes, I was in a photographers dream land – a new lens, beautiful lighting and unexpected treasures. Thank you, Jeffre Scott Apothecary for providing an awesome start to a great day.
