His shoes are black and they light up when he runs. Black light up shoes make you super fast.
He plays 5 sports AND the guitar. And he’s also…… SUPER! What do you do with a kiddo that has enough energy to save the world and play 5 sports in an hour? Well, if you’re holding the camera you try your best to keep up!
I LOVE this little guy (and his parents)! As my godson, he’s been on the blog more than any other kiddo, and I look forward to his yearly session for months even though I get to see him every week.
That little smile and those blue eyes are just so stinkin’ cute I can’t get enough of this little man. His Mom started a photo wall when he was a baby, and all of the pictures on it are of him when he was an infant. Her goal from this year’s session was to turn that wall into a Brayden Sports Wall of Fame. I love a Mom with a plan! So the goal of the session was to get pictures of him playing all of his favorite sports. We literally had a suitcase of outfits for changing, and a bag of balls, golf clubs and bats.
Sessions with smaller kiddos are always on their time frame, so we’ve got basically as long as they’ll let us have. Sometimes that’s 5 minutes, sometimes it’s 2 hours. I like to get the family photos out of the way before we start playing just in case we fall into the 5 minute range.
Successful photo sessions start with bribery, and boy did it work on this little man. He had his heart set on a Captain America shield at Target and he was willing to do just about anything to get it. Brayden is 4, and there’s still a debate over who he looks like the most – I actually think he’s a good blend of both. LOVE these smiles!
He was hammin’ it up for the camera to make sure he fell into the “good boy” category so he could go shopping afterward!
We gave him this cape for his birthday this year and I had no idea he’d like it this much. He says he’s “Super B”, and whenever he’s wearing the cape he’s constantly on the lookout for a “probwem” to solve.
”Mommy, I need a probwem!”.jpg)
As if probwem solving wasn’t enough, he can also fly. Amazing kiddo!
After we had flown around the entire back yard, it was time to get down to business for Mom’s Sports Wall of Fame. Up first, soccer! Bend it like Brayden!
He can kick and throw! After soccer, we move to football! Now here’s where it’s important to point out that Brayden lives in a house divided. Mom likes Gamecocks, Dad likes Tigers. So we actually had to double up on the football portion of the shoot so everyone got equal photo time.![]()
These pics with Dad are some of my favorites from the session. I’m a Gamecock at heart, but he does look super cute in that Clemson jersey. And I think he’ll make an awesome place kicker in about 15 years.![]()

After football we moved to golf (with a Gamecock baseball hat) and a garnet polo shirt!
Check your grip….. and follow through!
Quick hat change, and on to sport #4 – baseball! I could’ve taken baseball pics with him all day. He LOVES to play baseball, and he’s actually really good. He stands in the batters box, keeps his eye on the ball and knocks it out of the park (or back yard).

My favorite face of the day….![]()
As if sports weren’t enough, he also rocks a mean guitar. He even plays behind his head! Watch out Richie Sambora!
Sport #5 is a new one – B just started taking Tae Kwon Do about 3 weeks ago so he’s still a white belt. Dad is a black belt so he was helping a little with the kicks. I think he’s nailed front snap kick.![]()
And then it was time to play in the leaves! In case you’re wondering exactly what the mission was here, it was “get Aunt Kelli with the leaves!” :-D
As cute as Brayden is, I couldn’t resist posting one of this little man too. Hey Hershey! Hershey’s Mom (Brayden’s Grammie) was nice enough to let us raid her back yard for the shoot, and Hershey even wore his best collar for the occasion!
Thanks Mom B!
