Last weekend I had the privilege to work with Yelp.com and shoot a Charlotte Yelp Elite event at the Cajun Queen. And let me just say – YUM!! The Cajun Queen totally rocked it – everyone left stuffed and happy. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from the event (y’all know I love details)!

One of the sponsors of the event was Mother Earth Brewery. Born and brewed in NC, and it got rave reviews!.jpg)

The wine of the afternoon was 3 Girls provided by Milestone Wine, and it also seemed to be a crowd favorite.
What Cajun meal is complete with out hot sauce? And seriously, the Cajun Queen is stocked with all brands and all variations of burn-your-gut, including their own!
From what I heard, this BBQ shrimp was amazing. Since seafood and I aren’t BFF I’ll take their word for it, but I can say this much – the shrimp were photogenic!
This bread pudding not only looked amazing, it smelled like Grandma was standing in the kitchen – wow. Have I already said YUM? Because seriously, YUM!
And what Cajun meal would be complete without hurricanes and red beans?
The Cajun Queen has a house band (The 7th Street Gator Band) that plays on Friday and Saturday nights. These guys were just awesome and totally the life of the party. I can’t explain why, but I just felt like this picture was meant to be in black and white.![]()
So just to recap – inside we’ve got a bar serving beer, wine and hurricanes, amazing food, and a cool band. And outside we’ve got this amazing 2nd floor patio overlooking 7th street in Uptown Charlotte. And did I mention it was about 78 degrees? If you tried to construct the perfect Carolina afternoon I think you’d have a hard time drawing a prettier picture.
Thanks again to Yelp, The Cajun Queen and The 7th Street Gator Band! I had a great Saturday afternoon with y’all and hope to see you again soon!
