About Red K Photo

Our Style: Red K Photography specializes in capturing action.  Our photo sessions take place using natural light and comfortable surroundings.  We want to catch your kids running, your teenager smiling, and your spouse laughing.  It's these unexpected emotions that make the best photos and capture the true essence of those you love.  Instead of posing perfection, we want to see the true movement and interaction of everyone in the photo.  To do this, we use a long lens, and capture the moment as it happens.

Thanks for visiting, and please connect with us on one of the following sites to stay in touch with what's going on at Red K Photography!

365 Day Challenge – Feb Faves – Charlotte Area Photographer

One thing that I’m really starting to enjoy about this challenge is looking back.  We go through the days, weeks, and months so quickly that we tend to forget all of the fun times we pack into 4 weeks.  It’s already March, and I’d swear we just celebrated Christmas – where does the time go?
February...

Snow 2010 – 365 Photography Challenge – Fort Mill Photographer

One thing I’ve learned while doing the 365 day photography challenge is that some days are easier than others.  There are days when I find myself struggling to find something to take a picture of at midnight, and other days when I wake up at dawn totally inspired.  And then there are days like last...

Last year brought many challenges and opportunities.  The truth is, it came and went before I even realized it.  As I started the 365 Photog challenge this year, I decided to go back and revisit a few shoots from 2009 to take a moment and just reflect on how awesome last year was.  From New...

365 Day Challenge – Charlotte Area Photographer

I was recently inspired by the movie “Julie & Julia” and decided to create my own year-long challenge.  I never seem to find time on the weekends to just play with my camera, learn new tricks, or take pictures of the daily insignificant details, so I thought this challenge would be a great way to...

Glencairn Gardens – November 28, 2009 – Rock Hill Photographer

I had 2 clients ask for a “different place with a lot of color” to do a kid/family shoot for Christmas card pics.  I’d been wanting to do a shoot at Glencairn Gardens in Rock Hill for a while, so I threw it out there as an option.  Both families loved the idea so I...

Bright Lights, Big City – NYC 09 – Charlotte Travel Photographer

What started out as a cool weekend has become a Christmas tradition.  My husband and I love to travel to New York at Christmas time.  The lights, the people, the stores, the sights – they are all 10 times better in NYC during the holidays.  We’ve been 4 times, so when I was packing for...

Unexpected Treasures – November 21, 2009 – Charlotte Commercial Photographer

This past weekend I had the opportunity to help a friend shoot a wedding (blog post coming soon!) – and we had such a great time shooting, chatting and just enjoying the day.  I showed up that morning expecting the obvious – bride, groom, church, reception.  Our day began at Jeffre Scott Apothecary on Providence...
