Our Style: Red K Photography specializes in capturing action. Our photo sessions take place using natural light and comfortable surroundings. We want to catch your kids running, your teenager smiling, and your spouse laughing. It's these unexpected emotions that make the best photos and capture the true essence of those you love. Instead of posing perfection, we want to see the true movement and interaction of everyone in the photo. To do this, we use a long lens, and capture the moment as it happens.

Lead Photographer: Kelli Boling is the owner and lead photographer of Red K Photo. Kelli earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from Winthrop University and her master's degree in integrated marketing communications from the University of South Carolina. She has 9 years of experience in the marketing industry including graphic design, photography and project management. Her creative eye and passion for adventure introduced her to travel photography at an early age. Since then, she's enjoyed using her photojournalistic approach to capture the spirit of any subject or location.

365 Day Challenge – Feb Faves – Charlotte Area Photographer

One thing that I’m really starting to enjoy about this challenge is looking back. We go through the days, weeks, and months so quickly that we tend to forget all of the fun times we pack into 4 weeks. It’s already March, and I’d swear we just celebrated Christmas – where does the time go?

February was particularly challenging because we had so much rain, ice and snow – lots of overcast days with no time outside for pics. I found myself taking pictures of dish towels, books, broken garage doors and reflections in door knobs. Yes, these were dark times, literally. But even with all of the short, overcast days, looking back at February reminds me of how much we packed into the non-overcast days. Geocaching, Julia Child’s Beouf Bourguignon and even a few pup pics. Since I’ve already blogged about Snow 2010, these faves are basically runners-up to everything shot on that beautiful day (how could you beat that day?) And how unfair is it to call Julia Child’s Beouf Bourguignon a runner-up? Oh well, that’s February!
